Deepayan Mohanty, Founder and Chairman, has a diverse industry experience in excess of 22 years spanning from commodity trading and commodity finance, financial markets and value investments. Major part of his experience focuses on commodities and trade and structured finance. As a core member of the India leadership team, Deepayan helped Cargill achieve multifold growth in India reaching gross revenue in excess of USD 2.00 billion.

In addition to his strategic role, Deepayan oversees Hemera’s supply chain solution platform business which includes commodity trading. He also provides overall directions to group's new business verticals and corporate social responsibilities.

Prior to Cargill, he worked for the Tata Group in India as an International trader of ferrous materials. Deepayan is a graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Alok Sinha, director and strategy lead, spearheads the food and agricultural product strategy for Hemera group. With a diverse industry experience spanning more than 30 years, he has held an array of professional posts, primarily in the public sector. Prior to joining Hemera’s board, Alok was the Chairman and Managing Director of Food Corporation of India until 2009.

Alok is highly regarded by the Indian media and business world alike in the area of food and agriculture. He is a regular columnist for Financial Express, Business Standard, The HINDU Seminar, Economic and Political Weekly, and Governance now.

He has participated as a speaker on TV channels like NDTV, NDTV Profit and Headlines Today.
Alok has also taken consulting assignments with UNDP and the World Bank. He is 1973 batch IAS officer and is a graduate and post graduate from St.Stephens College, New Delhi.

Nadav Dantes, Global Business Head for Supply Chain Management and Medical business, has over 15 years of experience in Insurance and Re-Insurance market.

He has held senior managing positions with various global organisations. He has a bachelor degree in Economy and Business Management.

Pankaj Agrawal is a qualified CA and has over 30 years of expertise in structuring financial products, financial and corporate advisory, and M&A transactions. He believes in forming long-term strategic partnerships with the Companies and assisting companies at each stage of their growth cycle. He shares senior-level relationships with Global Institutions investors and an extensive global network across the financial markets of the US, Europe, Middle East, and the Asia Pacific.

Timm Raatz, the Director and Hemera Group representative for EU. Out of 28 years in banking, Timm served for the last 20 years in the field of international business.

He was Head and Senior Sales of Global Trade Finance as well as Head of Financial Institutions, Transaction Banking with HSH Nordbank AG, Hamburg, Germany. Before joining HSH Nordbank as department head, he took various senior positions in regional German banks and last in ABN AMRO Bank, Frankfurt/Amsterdam as Director: Trade and Working Capital Management.

Rajiv Mathur, Director and Project Consulting Lead, is a seasoned professional with more than 28 years of work experience in Business Management and Security Operations, Integrated ManTech Solutions, Loss Prevention, and Emergency Response. He has held senior positions and managed large businesses in varied organizations in the field of - Manned Guarding Services, Security Technology, Infrastructure Development, Electronics Manufacturing and Emergency Response Services. Currently, on-board of a few organisations, helping them streamline and grow businesses.

With a wide range of international exposure, he has brought latest, state of the art technologies, and even international companies into India. He has Instrumented many associations, partnerships and JVs between foreign and Indian companies.

He is associated with bodies like ASIS, FICCI, CII, APSA, ASSOCHAM. He is a Fellow Member and the Past President of IISSM and a founding member of SPGI. Recently, been appointed as Regional Advisor - Asia at The Outstanding Security Performance Awards.

Raza, Director and Group mentor, has a BA and MA from St Stephen’s College Delhi. He has an MBA from Oxford University. After serving in the Indian Administrative Service (I.A.S) for 7 years, he worked for Cargill Inc USA, the global agri-business company, around the world in various locations and jobs for 28 years.

His work interests are building food, agriculture and energy related businesses and turning around distressed assets. He enjoys reading, world music and travel to relatively unknown destinations. Google devotee. He is based in Singapore from where he leads Hemera’s business in Asian countries.

Suraj Arora is an accomplished banker with 25 years of corporate experience, and with functional expertise across Mergers & Acquisitions,Fund Raising, Mentoring New Ventures, Start-up investments, Corporate & Investment Banking, Remittance and Digital Banking. Suraj was the Country Head for ICICI Bank in Malaysia, serving the Bank for 17 years. He is an Executive Director of Hatcher Malaysia, the SE Asia arm of the world's largest AI-driven automated start-up venture fund; and a Managing Partner in Village Groupe's portfolio of entertainment-themed developments in India.

Frank Zhang, General Manager for Hemera group for global trade based out of Singapore, has over 10 years of experience and is working in the United States, Southeast Asia and China.

He has extensive experience in commodity trading, supply-chain management and infrastructure development. He pursued his MBA from Cox School of Business, SMU, in the United States.

Divya Dhawan, Director and India business head, is an experienced private banker and trade finance professional. She manages investor relationships for Hemera in addition to her primary role of leading business development in India. Prior to joining Hemera, Divya worked for Deutsche bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

She is a graduate in Economics (Hons.) from Delhi University, with a post graduate degree in Financial Planning.

Captain Sharat Bhasin, Director, comes with 23 years of experience in the shipping and chartering industry. He has diverse industry experience in shipping which covers Container Vessels, Bulk Vessels, Break–bulk Vessels, Ro- Ro Vessels and Reefer Vessels.

He has sailed to more than 80 countries worldwide and is highly respected in the industry as a very dependable sailor. He has subsequently managed a branded product distribution business in India for a producer in Sweden as their channel partner. Captain Sharat is a qualified Merchant Navy Officer and holds a Master Class I certificate of Competency from Australia.

In addition to his role of overseeing global shipping and chartering alignments for the Hemera group, he plays a very strategic role for origination of business and is one of the key members of the Hemera think tank.

Vijaydeep is a seasoned banker with over 25+ years expérience across Financing Solutions(wholesale banking- deal origination, structuring and execution, risk management) & Business Planning(Strategic, business & financial planning). He carries experience of working in large corporations & start-up like situations, within large organisations. He has strong global credentials and consistant track record of financial and management advisory helping coporates to increase brand and shareholders value.

Vijaydeep has broad experience in leading the Corporate Banking across Large & Mid corporates and Supply Chain & Global Transaction Banking at the country level as well as Asia region.

Vijaydeep has held board positions in ABN Amro and RBS in India and was a part of the Country Leadership team in ING Vysya Bank. He has covered the E.African market extensively and was based in Nairobi heading financial assets(3 banks) for a large African conglomarate.

Vijaydeep holds a post graduation degree in Business Economics from Delhi University.

Evan is a commodity and trade finance professional and a global fund manager. He has co-founded Trade Credit Partners ( TCP ) which is a global supply chain financing fund that operates in tandem with Hemera group for innovative receivable financing options.

Prior to this, he was full time on board with Hemera group as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) and served on board as a director for various entities. Evan also worked for a large European forfaiting house where he co-managed a portfolio of Latin originated trade finance investments.

Evan is a CFA charter holder and a graduate from Colgate university.

Daniel Chung, has over 22 years of experience in Commodity and Structured finance with major international banks and Trade & Structured finance groups including Cargill FMG, ADM, Enron, GSTS, and CNP Financial Services.

He has also played the role of a broker for Bunge and Gerald Metal. He held positions from manager, director to managing director and also owned and managed financial boutique firms in Korea, Hong Kong and Kazakhstan.

He has originated over several billions of dollars trade and structured finance (“TSF”) businesses in Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Russia and Kazakhstan, and also originated NPLs assets on behalf of major financial institutions in Asia. His experience forte in TSF is providing a financial Engineering and Solution expertise which further helps in providing a custom-made structured finance for various industries.

Amitabh Gupta, has over 32 years of industry experience as a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant. He has worked in various leading MNC and Indian companies in the area of Finance, Risk Management, Strategy and Business Development.

He has served in organisations like Ranbaxy America, Cargill India, Bharti Airtel and Moser Baer. Prior to his association with Hemera he was the Head of Commercials and CEO Fertilizer with Hindustan Zinc.

He was also the CFO of Hindustan Zinc and a leader in the Vedanta group finance platform.

Vikram Agarwal, comes with over 20 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant and is an all India rank holder. He has worked in reputed Private Equity funds, consulting organizations like Ernst & Young and SR Batliboi & Co and has been CFO of reputed organizations in India. In addition to his strategic role, Vikram brings in fresh outlook and expertise in finance for Hemera.

Vikram‘s other academic accomplishments include - Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, USA, Diploma in Information Systems audit (DISA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from ICMA, Australia, Member of The Institute of Internal Auditors, USA, and a Certified Business valuer from (ICAI), India.
